Next date: Thursday, 15 October 2026 | 07:00 PM to 10:00 PM

From the wild west coast of Canada, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ruth Moody returns to Castlemaine this October, bringing her luminous voice and evocative songs to Theatre Royal Castlemaine as part of her Wanderer Returns Tour.
As a solo artist and a founding and current member of The Wailin’ Jennys, Moody has garnered two JUNO Awards and performed to rapt audiences in sold-out venues around the globe. Her otherworldly soprano voice and her inspired songwriting have gained the admiration of the hearts, minds, and ears of millions of listeners.
“I’m so happy to be returning to Australia and bringing my beautiful trio with me. We felt such a warm and genuine connection with audiences when we toured in 2025. I’m really looking forward to playing songs from Wanderer as well as sharing some new music with audiences, revisiting some special places and creating new memories together.”

The Castlemaine show marks a return to the Theatre Royal for Moody, following her performance at the much-loved venue during her 2025 Australian tour. This October, she returns with her trio for another intimate evening of songs from Wanderer, alongside new music. Ruth’s critically acclaimed album, Wanderer, is the chronicle of her life’s journey over the last ten years. Wanderer explores the emotional journey of motherhood, the joy and pain of life, the mysterious and complicated dance of love, and ultimately, the longing we all feel for home, wherever that may be.
