Internationally acclaimed pianist Lucas Debargue comes to Castlemaine.
Debargue first gained international recognition at the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition, where his originality and depth captivated audiences. With a unique artistic path shaped by literature, painting and jazz, his performances offer something truly distinctive - thoughtful, expressive and deeply engaging.
A Sony Classical artist, Debargue’s recordings range from Scarlatti and Bach to Chopin and Ravel, as well as his own compositions. With more than twenty original works to his name, he is as much a creator as he is a performer.
This is Castlemaine State Festival's first 2028 festival fundraiser event - a wonderful opportunity to support the continued success of the festival.
