More than just a music event, the Castlemaine Jazz Festival is about fostering a sense of community and supporting local culture. We create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for both visitors and residents alike.

This year the line-up is bursting with energy and truly does have something for everyone. Our opening night will feature our wonderful local choirs with, for the first time, the exciting Castlemaine Jazz Festival Orchestra.

We've got classic 40s and 50s sounds, international ensembles, New Orleans style, big bands, performers at the height of their careers plus lots of newcomers.

All held in some fantastic venues - Theatre Royal, Castlemaine Bowling Club, Coolroom at the Northern Arts Hotel, Goods Shed, Anglican Church and the new Jazz Lounge and Jazz Jam at the Maurocco Bar, Midland Hotel.
